1.District Ex.-Serviceman Cooperative Consumer Store Ltd. Udhampur

The Store was registered in 1985 .The Share Capital of the Store consists of Rs.11,300/- from 111 individual members and Rs.1,20,000/- from the Govt. The Store is in profit for the last many years and the profit during the year 2003-04 was Rs.3,94,246.44 /- Its annual sales are round about 30 lakhs a year. It has two retail counters, one in Chinar complex (Army area) and one medicine shop in District Hospital. The Society has started an educational school at Tikri, Block Udhampur.The Society paid dividend of Rs 12,000/-to the Government. The affairs of the Society are being run by an elected board and the General Body Meetings are being held every year. The Society is functioning in smooth manner without any embezzlement or audit objection.

The Society has been selected for the Cooperative Excellence Award of NCDC for the year 2004. The award was given by Hon'ble Prime Minister in a special function on 18-11-2004.

2.The Bami-Duniya Cooperative Consumer Store Leh.

The name and title of Leh District Cooperative Consumer Store is, "The Bami Dunya Cooperative Consumer Store Ltd. Leh (Ladakh) " Bami Dunya in Persian means the roof of the world. This Cooperative was registered in the year 1958 It is a federation 46 Cooperative Societies and is run by an elected managing committee. This store is the distributor of Gujarat cooperative Milk Marketing Federation Ltd, Mother Dairy Food Processing Ltd., Seminis Vegetable Seeds India Ltd. ,Philips India Ltd. for institutional sale of Compact Florescent Lamps (CFL).

The store stocks most essential commodities for the six long winter months and regulates their sale so that there is no scarcity of any item and the market price line is also kept in check. The total capital of the store comprises of Rs. 7.29 lacs as individual share capital and its accumulated profit is Rs. 34.54 lacs. For year 2003-04, the total sale, profit earned and cost of establishment were Rs. 410.75 lacs , 17.48 lacs and Rs. 1.11 lacs respectively. It has two retail counters in Leh town and the rest of the business is done purely on wholesale basis to Cooperative Societies and private retailers. This Cooperative was awarded National Excellence Award for the year 2002 instituted by National Cooperative Development Cooperation Govt. of India.

3. District Consumer Store Anantnag

The store consists of :

i) Super Bazar Complex at the heart of the town having eleven counters.
ii) District Hospital Canteen.
iii) Hospital Consumer Sale Centre.
iv) Medical Shops 2 Nos. at District Hospital Anantnag.
v) Super Bazar Branch Kulgam

Besides the above mentioned counters and branches it has got forty four depots for distribution of Kerosine Oil in the town Anantnag and its vicinity. It has main Godown in the heart of the town Anantnag.

It distributes grocery items, electronic goods, cosmetics, electric goods, cloth , furniture items etc. through its counters at main Super Bazar Complex Anantnag. One of the main sources of income to the district store has been the sale of medicines free of tax at its two shops at District Hospital Junglatmandi Anantnag.

4. District Wholesale Cooperative Store Pulwama.

The District Wholesale Cooperative consumer Store has been registered in the year 1981 vide No. SS/JRK/A-22 dated 28-11-81. Since then it has been catering to the needs of farmers. Orchardists and common consumers by supplying them fertilizer, Kerosine Oil, medicines and other items of common consumption like those of grocery, stationery, sports, cloth, utensils, furniture, furnishing.Even modern electronic gadgets like TV, washing machine, refrigerators, CVTs, geysers and other electronic goods are made available to the consumers on demand. The Store also supplies routine office items to the Govt. offices in the district.

The Store has following counters, shops a) furniture b) furnishing c) sports goods d) stationery e) Grocery / provision store f) Crockery and electric items store g) cloth and h) Medicine.

The first six shops are located in the ground floor of the building owned by the Store. The medicine shop is located in the premises of District Hospital Pulwama.

5. District wholesale Cooperative Consumer Store Ltd. Srinagar.

The store was registered in 1983. It has four medical shops. These shops are located at Lala Ded Hospital Srinagar, SMHS Hospital Srinagar and Jawahar Lal Nehru Hospital Rainawari Srinagar.

Three more shops have been allotted in favour of the District Wholesale Cooperative Consumer Store Ltd. Srinagar at Kashmir University Regional Engineering College Srinagar and at MLA Hostel Srinagar. All these three shops are running consumer business .

6. District Consumer Cooperative Store Ltd. Baramulla.

The Baramulla District Consumer Cooperative Store Ltd. Baramulla was registered in the year 1967 under Registration No. 182/SS. Located at the District headquarter, is the main supplying agency of essential commodities and Agricultural inputs for primary Agri. Coop. Societies / Depots affiliated to it in the District. Besides the institution is catering to the needs of various central and State Government Departments in respect of supplying furniture / fixture, electric appliances, stationery items etc.The store has a fair price medical shop in the premises of District Hospital Baramulla providing round the clock services to the public by providing medicines of all kinds.

The Super Bazar has presently six counters handling different kind of products of Grocery, Furniture/ Fixture, Stationery and Cement items.

7. District Consumer Cooperative Store Budgam.

The Store was registered in 1982 vide Registration No.16055 JPK Dated 19-03-1982. The Store has membership of 611 individuals and the Government. The Store is dealing with different varieties of consumer commodities like stationer , Kerosine Oil , Kiryana and fertilizer.

8. Jammu Cooperative Wholesale Ltd.

The Store has membership of 9 Primary Consumer Stores, 97 individuals and the State Governmentt. The Store has ten branches in the Municipal Limits of Jammu City in dealing in Consumer business. This store deals in various type of Consumer articles viz., furniture grossly, textiles, stationary, electric, and house hold items etc. The store also deals in LPG business.. The Store owns two shopping complexes in the heart of Jammu city. Besides this, it has four Medical Shops in various Governmentt Hospitals in Jammu City.
